I was so excited when I first heard from Alyssa to photograph her wedding. Her family are dear friends, and I’ve had the honor of documneting two of her siblings weddings, so I was so looking forward to this wedding! But, just a few months later, we found out we were expecting our first baby, and I realized my due date was too close to fly down for Sammy + Alyssa’s wedding. I was so bummed when I realized I couldn’t be there, but (!!!) thankfully, the amazing Megan Welker (who also photographed our wedding!) was able to photograph their wedding day as my associate photographer, and she absolutely ROCKED it! All the images in the blog post were captured by Megan, and edited by me.

Had such a blast capturing this senior session for Jackson! He is a senior at Ridgeline High School, and will be graduating in the spring with the Class of 2025! It was such an honor to document this season of his life, and especially loved incorporating his hobby of guitar playing into the session!

He first saw her at the Cal Poly Crops Club Intramural kickball game, and called ‘dibs’ that he saw her first to his buddies. Alyssa noticed Sammy too, specifically how he was wearing hiking boots to play kickball that night.
The following quarter, they happened to both have classes in the same building. Alyssa admits she may have coordinated her exit from class to strategically be when Sammy was arriving to his class.

Being one of four sisters is the best. Obviously, I don’t know any other way, but I adore my sisters and think the world of them. They are all so beautiful, amazing mamas to their kiddos, and incredibly strong, each in their own right. Yes, they drive me crazy on occasion too, but what are sisters for, right?!?
