Oh my goodness, this winter elopement was definitely one for the books! It was like straight out of a Hallmark movie! And the best part? It was REAL! I literally had to keep pinching myself throughout the day because it was so magical!
Jake and Kara had originally planned their wedding for Hawaii, but then the pandemic hit last year, and they decided to postpone. After numerous date changes, they decided to move things closer to home. To Leavenworth, the place where Jake proposed.
With her dad by her side, Kara walked (in her snow boots!) to the man that had stolen her heart many years before. They promised forever in front of their closest friends and family, and cheersed with flutes of champagne, from a bottle that had chilled in the snow. The celebration continued as they headed to Blue Spirits where Jake planned an epic surprise for his bride, and sang Kara their song “Starting Over” by Chris Stapleton.
