A friend recently sent me an email asking for her upcoming trip to Paris and I couldn’t have been more excited! Allan and i spent the last few days of our honeymoon there so getting to relive the tastes and smells and sights of our time there….um, yes, please!!! So today I’m sharing a few highlights of our time there…which basically involved meal planning on my end and counting our daily steps on Allan’s end. It’s all about balance, right???
How long we were there: 3 nights, 2 full days
Where we stayed: Hotel Notre Dame
Favorite meal: Frenchie’s

Dining in Europe is just an experience, and especially in Paris! The meals are not rushed like here, and the service comes more or less when needed. A lunch or dinner can easily be a two hour event so be sure to build in extra times to savor the flavors! Some of our favorite were trying the famous white hot chocolate at Angelina’s before heading to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. If you can, try and arrive when the museum opens to avoid the crowds or better yet, grab a Paris Pass that gets you to the front of the line! Allan and I were both a little overwhelmed with the crowds that day at the Louvre so we ended up hopping over to the Musee d’Orsay where we got to see some of Vincent van Gogh’s originals which was truly something to behold!

Favorite thing to do in Paris: Get lost walking around the city
Best view with a fancy drink: Kong

For our last day in Paris, we toured Notre Dame and checked out the stained glass in Saint Chapelle which seriously will take your breath away! After taking in a few sights, we made a quick stop at Laduree which just feels quintessential Paris located on the Champs Elysses, serving up the most beautiful desserts you’ve ever seen. Almost too pretty to eat…almost! We ventured up the Eiffel Tower which if you are in Paris, is worth the waiting in line for because the views from the top are insane! And really pretty if you can time just so you’re up there at sunset! Later that night, we grabbed a box of macarons from Pierre Herme and headed to Parc du Champ de Mars to take in the incredible views of the Eiffel Tower at night!
So much goodness to experience in one city! Hope you enjoyed! Happy Wednesday friends!
