Happy Friday friends! Kicking off this weekend and so excited to be sharing this gorgeous rustic wedding with you today! You may remember Johnny and Cassie from their engagement session, and their wedding day couldn’t have matched this sweet, down-to-earth couple better! From the heirloom necklace the bride wore to the homemade cake made by her mom and sister, to the individual favors made by the groom’s father this was truly a celebration of two families coming together for one amazing couple.
And let me tell you, when you combine a bride who comes from a family of seven siblings, and a groom who comes from a Portuguese family, you’re pretty much guaranteed the biggest and most fun celebration EVER! And that, it was! Throughout the day, it was so evident how much family means to this couple, and also how much these two mean to their families. But there was one hands-down favorite moment for me from the day when Johnny saw Cassie for the very first time. He was smiling from ear-to-ear. And then hollered for the pastor so they could say I DO sooner!
Johnny and Cassie, thank you for the opportunity to capture your wedding day, and to your families for being so incredibly kind and welcoming to me! And a very special thanks also to Lainika from Laini’s Lens Photography for flying out to California to help document this beautiful wedding!

The prettiest details…
It was a warm, sunny day in Central California as they got ready for their wedding. Perfect with a little extra sparkle!
Loved the heirloom necklace Cassie wore for the day…
A little bubbly anyone?
Oh, yes please!!!
Cassie had custom totes + hankies made for her bridesmaids along with the sweetest floral robes to get ready in!
Love this one of Cassie’s mama helping her beautiful daughter get ready! Is Cassie not the most gorgeous bride you’ve ever seen?!?
One of my favorites!
The bridesmaids seeing Cassie in her dress for the first time…love their reactions here!
And the sweetest First Look…Johnny couldn’t stop smiling!
Favorite!
Oh, these two are just the sweetest!
Before guests started arriving, we took some portraits of Cassie and her beautiful bridesmaids!
All gorgeous. Yep.
Totally had to sneak this one in because I got to photograph this bride on her wedding a few years ago…love!!!
Cassie described her dress as “Vintage Cinderella” to me and I think she pretty much nailed it! This dress was so gorgeous. And perfect. And Cassie. And amazing!
And the littlest princesses of the day…how sweet are they?!?
Now that is one BEAUTIFUL wedding party!
As guests arrived, they were greeted by an antique dresser where they signed the guest book, and then escorted to the gorgeous ceremony site lined with wooden benches!
The flower girl in her ride down the aisle!
The bride’s brother officiated the ceremony which made it extra special and personal!
Sealed with a kiss!
After the ceremony, guests headed to the cocktail and reception area where there was handmade favors, and areas to lounge!
Swoon! Individual succulents for each guest!
Detail love!!! The couple had pictures of all the generations of love that came before all woven on throughout the tiers of favors…love this!
And the most gorgeous homemade cake by the bride’s mother and sister!
As guests found their seats, the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Lopes shared their first dance as husband and wife!
And as guests finished up dinner, we snuck away for a few more portraits at sunset, and I’m so glad we did!!
Light + love…is there anything more beautiful together?!?
We headed back to the reception just in time for the maid of honor toast…
…and a little cake cutting!
The dance floor was packed with friends and family celebrating these two…
I’ll end with this one because the night was filled with so much joy and celebrating and happiness…and most especially, love.
