Unless I have the ocean in my sights, I typically have no idea as to my north, east, south, or west. I have no sense of direction. Zero, zilch, nada. It’s really quite something just how challenged I am in this department. Most of the time, I find I manage…okay. I can feel the heads shaking in disagreement to this statement right now.
If you happen to a recipient of my frequent calls asking, “Does ‘go west’ mean I turn right, or left?” I’m sorry!!!
More often than not, locations for shoots lead to roads off-the-beaten-path. For this one in particular, I had found a spot I loved and gave ‘directions’ on where to meet which probably sounded something like “you’ll see a rock, turn there, then go till you see a bigger rock by a little dirt path, follow that till you see a tree, and I’ll be there!” In my head it all made sense, because I was SO excited, you know, about this tree…down by the trail…by the lake…off the road…
My ‘directions’ basically led to a mini-episode of Amazing Race in Three Rivers!!! Maybe there is a secret language family shares because they found it…thankfully!!! Which led to an AMAZING afternoon spent in beautiful Three Rivers with this wonderful family…

This shoot was especially fun because they are family to me !! Love this one of my Uncle Rob an Aunt Lisa (name twinsies!) below!
This is my beautiful cousin, Taylor. She is one of THREE sisters, a super stud athlete, and currently in her senior year at Central Valley Christian this year! After graduation, Taylor will be heading to the San Luis Obispo where she will be attending Cal Poly – congrats!!!
This is my other beautiful cousin, Whitney and her husband, Adam. Last year, they welcomed their first son to the world, Robby. My oh my, he is DARLING!!! I love love this one…especially his little foot kicked up just a bit…
I am a total sucker for sweater vests, and then with the hat and rocking chair? Seriously. How handsome is this little man?!? I can barely handle all this cuteness…
This little man was born to Dodgers fans…and a (cute) Dodger fan he will be : )
My beautiful cousin Alysse, with her husband, Tommy, are expecting their FIRST baby together!!!
The sun was about to set and illuminated the hills so beautifully!!!
Thank you ALL so much for the fun photo shoot, for spending the afternoon with me in Three Rivers, and the opportunity to capture your family photos. I am thankful to call you family : )!
