I know I say this every year, but I love LOVE documenting senior portraits! I do!!! It’s SUCH an exciting time in life for these individuals, and I love having a photo session together where we can really just celebrate – them! Their personality, being a senior, getting to this HUGE milestone in their education, being excited for their next adventure in life, and just taking an afternoon to soak in the goodness of (exhale) this moment!
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of hanging out with Lauren, a senior at Merced High who kicks major booty! I mean the Class of 2015 is seriously rockin’ my socks off with their awesomeness, and Lauren put a whole new spin on this for me when she asked if we could do part of her session at Crossfit! I had never done a senior session at a gym and Crossfit already intimidates me, not gonna lie, so this was a bit of unchartered waters for me!
But… I LOVED our time there!!! And love that we got to incorporate a part of Lauren’s life that she loves into the session! Here are a few of my favorites from my afternoon with Lauren…enjoy!

Okay, I had to include this pic BECAUSE the first time I saw this move I thought Oh, I can totally do that Crossfit move. That’s not hard!. Um…yeah,. This is a ridiculously hard move! I give this girlie mad props for making it look like its no bigs. Try it for yourself (starting in a standing position and going down to a squat, holding one leg out straight with your arm)
Following graduation, Lauren will be attending Sierra College where she was asked to play golf for their team!
Lauren was recruited by the school’s coach following Masters, where she shot an 82. Pretty amazing to be recruited to play for college!!!
My favorite from the session!!!
Lauren, you are gorgeous!
I’ll end with this one because I love the brightness + light in this photo, and know Lauren is going to be JUST that in the world as she begins her next chapter in life!
Happy Friday all – cheers to the weekend!
