It was a day nine years in the making to be exact. Rebecca first met Dalton when she was eleven. He was in her older sister’s class, and she thought he was cute. Five years later and a drivers license in hand, the two started dating. Five years following, Dalton got down on one knee in his parent’s living room and proposed to his lady love, and the two began making plans for their future, together.
Plans became post-poned shortly thereafter when Rebecca’s mom was diagnosed with cancer. As she bravely battled through treatments, Rebecca stayed near for support . And as a remission transpired, talks of a wedding began to slowly resurface again. The two began planning their nuptials at the beautiful Foxtail Golf Club, located just north of San Francisco in Rohnert Park.
As the wedding day drew near, Dalton’s dad received a diagnosis of brain cancer. They would battle again, they said. And fight. And pray. And continue to live life, fully. And they did. On a dewy July day, surrounded by their friends and family, Dalton and Rebecca made their love official.
There is no words that would justly describe this day. It was a true testament of love. And life. At it’s very fullest. There was an air of intention and consciousness floating in the room, and it spoke volumes without any words at all. If one could harness love in all its forms, it would have been on this day.

I LOVED Rebecca’s shoes…they were AMAZING!!! The lace detailing and the heel…swoon!
The beautiful bride donned her grandmother’s headpiece for the day, and her mom handmade a veil piece for the ceremony….so gorgeous!
The beautiful flowers were created by San Francisco Floral…love the bright pops of pink and yellow!
The handsome groom getting ready to see his beautiful bride!
Although he was weak and beyond treatment, Dalton’s dad officiated their wedding day. Love this one of him giving his blessing to Dalton…
The bay area fog rolled in before the ceremony, but was uplifted by the bright pops of color down the aisle!
Love this one of Dalton seeing his bride for the first time…
The couple shared their handwritten vows that made the ceremony extra personal….
Officially Mr. & Mrs. Martin!
On the right is one of my absolute favorites from the day!
After portraits, guests gathered together to celebrate with the new Mr. and Mrs…. and celebrate they did!!! Cupcakes, dancing, and a candy bar were in full swing…oh, and MORE dancing of course!!!
Rebecca’s sisters took turns toasting the new couple, sharing heartfelt wishes for their sister and new brother….and a few stories from over the years that left the groom…a bit bashful…
I think Dalton was slightly outnumbered by the sisters on this one, wouldn’t you say?!?
The bride and her dad surprised guests with a choreographed father-daughter dance that brought down the house!!!! They even started with the typical slow dance to throw everybody off, and then busted out the moves!!! So fun!
The celebrating and love on this day was incredible.
For dessert, guests enjoyed tiers of cupcakes, ALL made and decorated by the groom’s mom. So yummy and AMAZING!
The first dance.
Dalton and Rebecca, I am SO incredible honored to have documented this day for you two. Words can’t express my gratitude for allowing me to share this day with you two! Thank you truly, from the bottom of my heart!
I’ll end with this one…love how the light is shining down on them through the willow tree. A perfect image of this couple whose love shines ever so brightly in this world…
