Meet Arie, a high school senior at Central Valley Christian. Just last year, I had the privilege of taking senior portraits for his sister, Eileen, so I was SO honored to have the chance to document Arie’s too! I mean, how fun is that?!?

With all my sessions, but especially with senior sessions, I love to incorporate the subject’s personality into the shoot. I want each session to be completely tailored to who they are, this time in life, so the images can be a reflection of them as individuals. For Arie, we decided to meet at the football field, a place that has been a BIG part of his high school years and a big part of who he is. Here are a few of my favorites from my session with Arie…
I don’t honestly know much about football, but I did, however, play sports in high school. And I know the feeling of being on home turf. That feeling of ownership and pride. It becomes like your second home. I immediately got the same feeling from Arie when we stepped onto to the field. This was his place.
Love how the stadium bleachers created a repetition of lines in this black and white!
After graduating, Arie is attending College of the Sequoias to complete his basics and then plans to head to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He says he is excited about starting a new chapter in life but definitely will miss his friends and football.
For his football team, Arie played nose guard on the defensive line.
After pictures at the football field, we headed out to the country for a few more because this guy is a country boy at heart!
One of my favs from the shoot!
Arie, thank you so much for the opportunity to document your senior portraits! I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you – especially getting to shoot on the football field at CVC! What what! Wishing you the best as you embark on your next chapter of life – you are going to do AWESOME!!!
